Dr. Devathasan received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. Prior to that she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the same alma mater. She further trained at the Eye Foundation of Utah, where she focused on retinal diseases and glaucoma. In 2015, she served on the Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity, VOSH, mission team, where she had the opportunity to provide thousands of patients in the impoverished villages of Chisinau, Moldova with comprehensive eye exams, including pathology detection and treatment as well as vision correction devices.
When she is not busy working at the clinic, you can find her traveling the world, doing yoga, working out or enjoying her time with her close friends and family.
Dr. Devathasan has a special interest in contact lens fitting, myopia control and ocular disease. She is a strong believer in patient-centered care and believes that counselling is the most important part of the eye exam, where the patient understands and gets to be involved in the treatment and management of their eye health.
Dr. Devathasan absolutely loves the fast-paced environment and energy that downtown Toronto embodies. She is ecstatic to be able to provide quality eye care to the residents of Toronto.
